So, looks like the Shadowrun Beta has expanded its size, recently sending out redemption codes to thousands of gamers.
I gots myself a code and have downloaded the Beta.  I will give it a whirl soon enough, although they are pretty strict about what you can and cannot say about the Beta.

I am about 1.5hrs into my install and set-up of FFXI, and I am at least 20mins away from playing (according to the estimated time remaining). Ugh.
