10.4.3 released

Hopefully more treat than trick, Apple has released 10.4.3. Said to fix hundreds of bugs, the release installer is approximately 100MB in size.
The 10.4.3 Update delivers overall improved reliability and compatibility for Mac OS X v10.4 and is recommended for all users.
It includes fixes for:
- AFP, SMB/CIFS, NFS and FTP network file services
- AirPort [...]

Thank you, Apple. Not only did you ship my copy of Tiger on time and have it delivered on April 29th, but you also did a bang up job with the OS. I have only fiddled with my install of Tiger, but I can see how it will change the way I do [...]

I’m no Apple Fanboy, but after reading this review of OSX 10.4 at Ars Technica, I can’t help but be impressed.

I’d say it was a good day.

My copy of Tiger just shipped from Apple and should be on my doorstep by Friday… and I just scored tickets to a special advance screening of Serenity on May 5th (almost 5 months before its release).

Apple has finally updated the OSX page on their website to include information about Tiger’s release. Looks like this cat will pounce on Friday, April 29th. Woo hoo!

So close. So very close.

Rumor has it that OSX 10.4 has been declared Gold Master today. This means that there is a decent chance Apple will make a formal announcement with regards to Tiger launch plans tomorrow.
I am so giddy.

If you go over to Apple Downloads, you will notice that there are a few extra categories present. Unfortunately, the links lead to nowhere at this point. But, it would be easy to speculate that this could mean Tiger is just around the corner.
