BostonGeek #107

One would think we’d be better at posting these regularly. Obviously the answer to the question “How many brains does it take to keep a podcast going?” is greater than “three.”

Well, two-and-a-half, really. My brain is mostly non-functioning due to the alternating scenes of cute furry animals dancing and hot women… dancing… in my head.

And here I thought the three of you had quit and left me in charge.

  2. 2 Carl

Yes, because leaving the rampaging bull in charge of the China Shop is a spectacularly good idea. :)

just clarifying, this was recorded 6 weeks ago?

microsoft just doesn’t want you to use blu-ray instead of using xbox live marketplace to download movies.

colin, the upscaling dvd players don’t do it for you?

yeah, there’s just no scifi left on the air.

i’m watching bsg again (skipped razor) just by default.

sg1 and atlantis are both serviceable, with streaks of brilliance mixed with streaks of feces. my favorite sg1 ep was probably the groundhog day ep…

“in the middle of my backswing?!??!!?”

also, really looking forward to new eureka this summer.

    Yeah, six weeks… sorry.

I enjoyed the first eight seasons of SG1, but mostly wathced the last two, and the Ark of Truth, because I felt like I had to finish it. Ben Browder was one dimensional and monotonic – not a replacement for Richard Dean Anderson by any stretch and frankly disappointing given his performance in Farscape; Beau Bridges was completely unconvincing as the General (or any kind of military officer for that matter); the story arc was just an add-on. Claudia Black was great, but only a part time character.

+1 to the SG1 groundhog day ep!

Atlantis is one of those shows where I never get to see the good episodes. Friends tell me it can be good, but every time I try to watch it I’m like “This passes for good on your planet?” The response is always “Oh, well that wasn’t a very good episode.” Same thing happens when I try to watch Family Guy.
