I have nowhere else to put this, so I'm sticking it in the comments area of a post about Star Trek. Because it's a Star Wars-related comment. And the hackles that rise on the necks of geeks that can't stand those who mix up the two is entertaining, even if it's done purposely.

You all know of my 2+ years in Star Wars Galaxies (SWG). And you know my venomous distaste for SOE and all things Sony as a result of the shit they pulled on over 200,000 players. Near the end of my tenure, I wrote an opinion piece on crit-miss that I ported over to the SWG forums, where it was promptly deleted within 24 hours and got me banned for "trolling". Apparently it stuck around long enough for a few people to copy and save it. And after some haphazard googling I accidentally found where someone quoted it almost a year after I had written it...

What makes this noteworthy to me though is that the "somebody" who quoted it is Timothy Burke, an active author at Terra Nova. http://terranova.blogs.com/

Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, ya know? Now I wish I had my entire online journal back for nostalgia's sake.
