Forgive me if I am not full of holiday cheer. I may end up filling myself with plenty of eggnog though. Eh, screw it… maybe I should do straight bourbon. Oh, and also forgive me if Episode #102 isn’t posted soon, or maybe ever. You see, I was visiting my Mom and Sister (who happen to share the same birthday). And, while we were enjoying a nice birthday meal, someone decided they deserved the things in my car more than I did. Gone are my sister’s presents, a nice GPS unit, an iPod, and the best?… My backpack, which had all my software and my Macbook Pro (which, of course, contains all the video files for editing the podcast). The best thing about this? The restaurant we were eating at is a converted church.
I guess some of this is my fault. I should have known better than leave all that stuff in my car. But, it was like the perfect storm of circumstances, and at this point I am left with a car full of broken glass, the memory of the stinging chill of driving more than an hour (in freezing temperatures) without a driver’s side window, and the task of dealing with my insurance company, the police, and an auto-glass repair company.
Ho ho ho.
Shit. That really sucks hard.
That sucks man, sorry to hear that. That’s why I’m an advocate for car alarms that use electric shock.
That really bites man. Lemme guess - you were in New Beige?
close. Fall River.
Ooooh The Abbey. Yeah that’s crackville over there man. Condolences.
