hrmph! All of the parents who I play with seem to do ok.

Seriously though, it’s much more structured for the “casual” player. I’m not putting in anywhere close to the time I did in SWG, and still having fun. Taking the time to smell the roses and whatnot. I was going to keep a similar sort of journal as I used to on crit-miss, but it seemed a little pointless after having already gotten to a fairly high level… reader would miss out on all the learning, exploring, and growing pains.

Anyway, if anybody ever wants a peek or a taste, I’m pretty sure there’s some sort of referral system. Now I’ll go take a look at RemyCity, or whatever it’s called.

Colin, you must be referring to “Song of Susannah” which is Dark Tower 6. Just read it once and never touch it again. Book 7 makes it all worth it, though.

Although, if you’re talking about Book 4 “Wizard and Glass”, the Mejis flashback book, you and I may never speak again…

Heh, I hit a point in the Dark Tower series (maybe book 5… 4?) that I couldn’t get past. It started off so well, too. Maybe I will pick it up again.

Okay, after thinking it over, I think we need to start you off with Alfred Bester. I personally prefer The Stars My Destination, but if they don't have that, then The Demolished Man will do. If they've got both, then you're basically choosing between teleporters and telepaths, respectively.

No, I’m going to do my best to mix SciFi in as well. I will admit I lean towards fantasy more than scifi so feel free to make suggestions towards that end. I’m currently going to be working out of my local library’s section, which is actually pretty good.
