The temps are climbing as we come back from a week off with Episode 90. This week, those crazy Brits are at it again with GPS tagging of their children, Sony PS3 DVR coming to Europe, and Batboy needs to get his resume together. On Boston in Brief, the 2007 Beantown Jazz Festival, Dropkick Murphys at Avalon, and Locobazooka!

They distill a line of spirits as well.
Unfortunately for me, I’m stuck with Comcast as I can’t get DSL where I live now (WAY too far from the CO). Although I will say that their service to date on all 3 comm services has been much better than it was with Verizon; I was guaranteed to lose my phones at least once every 6 months with VZ. That hasn’t happened yet with Comcast at either house in 2+ years of service.
re: Pay for Play - yeah that whole premise SUCKS. I did that before, thinking losing money on being forced to buy tickets would be good for exposure. Nah, not really. I have friends who routinely lose money doing PfP at metal fests across the country, but usually make up for it in CD and merch sales. TO me, Pay for Play is just as bad, if not worse than, promoters who book you at 1am on a Monday night to “get a feel for your sound” then refuse to book you again because you didn’t draw a crowd.
re: IPA/hoppy beers - man what a bunch of whiny bitches you guys are
Which is why I handle the beer reviews.
See on the hops things, for me it isn’t “how much hops can I handle” its that it takes a certain level of hops for me to even notice the hops flavor in a beer. I’ve got a hops tolerance threshold just like everyone else mine just happens to be really high compared to others. I’ve had one with so much hops that I’ve found them undrinkable.
You guys really, really need to go find the Aecht Shlenkerla Rauchbier and try that.
Just started listening to this show… interesting celebration by drinking 90 min. IPA on your 90th show.
Also, I know that I’m in hammerville after drinking one 90min IPA… so… I am really going to enjoy this show!
“I wonder if they know that high hop beers often taste better after they get warmer…”
Anyway, keep up the good work.
