I recieved my first “Beer of the Month” club delivery today. Colin very kindly got me a 3 month subscription to one, for which in return I will be naming my next child after him, or at the very least, a family pet. Per usual, whenever I receive beer in the mail, I take pictures.
The box was your nice ordinary box, except it had stickers saying “Contains Alcohol, Must Sign For” written all over it. Fortunately my mother-in-law, who selflessly comes over during the week to care for my daughter, was here to sign for it. Inside was first a page describing the 4 different beers I received this time around, from two different breweries. Fortunately, I haven’t reviewed any of them. The box was about twice as large as would be expected for a 12 pack of beer, and had a pretty nice
system to it. There was a layer of styrafoam to hold the tops, with a cardboard insert that held the tops of the longnecks in place. The bottoms them rested in another styraform layer so that nothing moved around. I think you probably could have kicked this thing and nothing would have broken. As I stated, there were 4 different brews, with 3 bottles each coming out of two different breweries.
Shipyard Brewery, Portland, ME
Fuggles IPA and Export Ale
Dock Street Brewery, Philadephia, PA
Illuminator Double Bock and Dock Street Amber (had one already, it was quite good)
Looking forward to drinking all of these, and then getting another 12 pack at the end of the August.
Nice to see New England represented.
Sweet!
Is there anything Beer can’t do?
No, there is not.
