Yeah...I got no response to that other than it is the most well written and descriptive argument for the bidet I've ever read.

Huzzah sir, Huzzah.

I believe some clarification is necessary.

In Europe and middleast, the bidet is a crucial part. Bidetis the only device that delivers the fresh clean water to much needed areas for cleaning. Today, it contrasts heavily and favorably against the rubbing and abrasive effect offered by even the most acclaimed softest tissues. Bidets used to be a separate part in the bathroom, often next to the closet. Such proximity made it easy to simply stand up after done, and sit to clean without too much walking (and dangling) nor having to zip up and off again...

With the emergence of competing values for space, the bathrooms over the years lost its volume, and the much needed bidet moved within the perimeter of the said closet. Now, it is designed such that the hose of the bidet is placed at 12 o'clock, while the person using sits facing 6 o'clock. At the end of the much needed and coveted delivery, the bidet takes care of any turd left by a cool cleansing flow.

This set up is particularly useful during the following day of a heavily spiced meal. There, the fresh water spurting from the bidet offers a cooling effect while the much sensitive mucosa struggles with burning sensation of nitrites whether processed or not.

As a conclusion, the bidet has been with us for a very long time, and is a very healthy way to take care of one's own. It is superior in efficiency and comfort to all toilet tissues bar none.
