The Ugly Truth: So in order to get back into the beer reviewing groove, since I’ve been a bit behind lacking lately on decent beers, I stopped by my local Total Wine and made a six pack of assorted bottles. The first out of that is Morland’s Tanner’s Jack, from Greene King. This is the same brewery that makes the very tasty Hen’s Tooth, so I had high hopes going in. I was frankly a little disappointed, but not very much. Tanner’s Jack is a very different beer. It was a coppery orange in color, with an off white almost tan head. The aroma was pretty good, definite presence of some hops in there. The taste had a moderately strong hops flavor, but it was fairly brief. The taste then smoothed into a somewhat resinous tasting flavor, with the touches of floral and nutty malt taste that were mentioned in the description. The aftertaste was fairly mild, not a lot of kick to it or anything. Overall, a good beer but I’m not sure how much of it I would drink on a regular basis. Still worth trying out for yourself.
Verdict: I’m going to tan the hide of this one with a 7 out of 10 bottlecap branding.
“Is that how many bottlecaps they tanned yo’ momma’s hide with, Yeti?”
Sorry, I am trying to spark a troll war to encourage comments.
And you are going to have to much better than that my friend
Oh yeah?
How about, “Stephen Hawking’s a genius who will dance on your grave from inside his world-destroying, black hole-powered spacesuit while skullfucking your twitching carcass and wiping his ass with your research?”
Related to this beer in what way?
Meh, the guy is in a wheelchair. He’s not likely to dance.
his armored suit makes beer.
Due solely to the name have you considered marketing your brew to the tanning industry? I have a high end salon here in Florida where I serve wine to waiting clientel, maybe adding a brew wouldn’t be a bad idea???
