I couldn’t figure out how to emote hate. Should it be !<3, or maybe <>3… dunno.

Anyway, there has been some discussion as to what type of speech is allowed on this site. In my opinion, which is not the only opinion that matters, as a reader and commenter you can say what you want. I, of course, reserve the right to delete comments as I see fit, but only ever exercise that right in the removal of spam. And, that is done as service to the reader.

As for myself, Carl, Remy and anyone else who occasionally takes the time to pencil something, I have enough confidence in them as a person to give them all the freedom and space they want in writing an article the way they want to. Should some start writing derogatory comments or articles about other readers, etc, they might find themselves in timeout, or outright banned. But, I don’t forsee that becoming an issue. Why? Because I have faith in those that I have granted author priveleges to, and faith in the readers to self-police.

Anyway, the real point of this short blurb is to let you know that, although hateful speech, racist remarks, etc are not condoned here, we aren’t about to start laying down some heavy-handed censorship on the site. That is just not what we are all about.
