Ok, does anyone else think that Boston just looks wicked retahhhdid in every news report surrounding the Aqua Teen Hunger Force guerilla ad-campaign gone awry? Now they have made an arrest and charged a guy with placing a hoax device? Are they serious? Ok, charge him with something, and let’s hit up Turner Broadcasting System Inc. with some grief as well. But, does the Mayor, et. al. truly believe that the Arlington artist they arrested planted these magnetic, light-up advertisements with the intention of them resembling a bomb and causing widespread panic?

I can’t belive that Mr. Samples resigned on his own. There had to be pressure from the higher ups trying to give Boston’s Mayor a sacrificial lamb. He is an idiot and so is that City. If Boston’s airport had done there security properly in 2001 the world would be a different place and I think that is why they over reacted. Any body under the age of 35 and anyone with children would have known those signs were clearly not a bomb. No one is to blame other then the stupidity of the Boston Officials.
For one, I don’t think Boston, as a whole, is stupid. I have traveled the world, and still wouldn’t want to call any other place home. Also, saying we should have done our security properly in 2001, and that it would have had an impact on the world as a whole is a simplistic and ridiculous statement. There were many areas where “security” broke down. Logan Airport just happened to be the last point of failure in a nationwide, broken system.

Yes, Boston looks stupid in this. Yes, Mayor Menino (or Mumbles as Bostonians refer to him) is not the best representative for the City. Then again, don’t judge the entirety of the United States based on the embarrassment that is our current President.
Knee-jerk, overreacting is what led to this mess, we would be wise not to respond to the stupidity in the same manner.
