Yeah, the word you were looking for was mawashi. The Kyokai, the ruling body of Japanese sumo, has a really good beginners guide, if you're interested.

Sorry to break the seeming violence inherent with your child rearing guys... wait you were hit in the face with a lunch tray and THAT was a PICKUP LINE for you?

...
...
...

Um... so moving on.

Carl and Colin I was hoping to hear you guys weigh in on the MBTA/GTA ad campaign fiasco, but alas not in the last podcast. I've read the media surrounding the 'outrage' and it seemed a bit on the ludicrous side that a company running Barcadi Rum ads would be not allowed to run ads for M rated games. If the detractors argument is that it's allowing kids to see the ads then I don't really understand this logic.

I haven't heard much in the way of points of view from Boston area geeks (family's away and my friends mostly exist in their respective schools) so I was wondering what your take on everything was. I for one think that Grabauskas handled himself pretty well against everyone on the attack, but I'm only getting bits and pieces. What do you think?

Also, as a fellow Revs fan, I too feel the pain of why the hell can't we just win? I'm actually excited that Toronto is getting an MLS team simply because I'll finally get to go to some games. Then there's 51 million dollars spent on a pitcher no one's sure about, and the Patriots losing what seems to be there edge over the league. So what do you think?

I'd by proud as all hell if my 5-year old said... "awww, son of a BITCH!" Doubly so if we had a little girl.

But then, I'm a twisted bastard who told the daughter of a dear friend of mine that she should hit boys who bother her in school with a lunch tray across the face.

oh believe me, I could've gone MUCH more sappier on that one. 6 years ago, would've kicked *myself* in the nuts for saying that.

If it makes you feel any better, I got yelled at tonight because my 5 year old yelled out "oh, son of a BITCH!" when her play doh creation fell apart.

Teach... your children well....

Dude, that whole 'Dad' thing is so sickly sappy I have to go kill a squirrel or kick a blind man in the nuts to restore balance to the universe. :)

Thanks for the plug guys. I've been nicknamed "Russtopher" since 1992, at this point I think more people call me that than anything else. Plus, when I first got online, it was way easy to make sure I always got my choice of email addys using that nickname :-) I'll answer to any number of names, although the coolest and my favorite is "Dad".

Thanks again!
