Notice the keypad music as the kid ‘logs in’ (?!)… right out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Not only did the power glove not actually do that, it didn’t work nearly as wewll as they make it seem, nor did it come in a shiny steel case.
I had a friend who owned the power glove. Nintendo really didn’t figure out a good way to use it in most games, but I’ve always respected their attempts to try to figure out new types of controller and gameplay to go along with it.
For the record, I hooked up our NES when we got it when I was in 7th grade; “your parents help you hook it up” is a baldfaced lie. My father, to this day, still cannot set a VCR clock.
But I remember staying up all night playing Zelda, certain that the world of video games would never get any better.
I have found that to keep my chainsaw running the right way I need to do a lot of maintenance. It is a good idea to always check the fluids, bar oil, and keep your chain sharp. This makes it easier to use and is safer as well. If anyone else has any tips I’d be happy to hear them.
Ah Carl and Colin in their youth right there. I’ll leave it up to everyone to decide who was who.
And it only gets worse:

Jesus… oh gods… why… why…
I would be the one, Rem, who said “oh, Id’ love to get my hands on that.”
Because that sentence would later apply to girls’ asses more than video games.
I didn’t know anyone who actually owned one of those.

Memories… misty water colored memories…
I played Final Fantasy on the NES for 36 hours straight and beat the game.
