This episode begins with our tasty fun weekend (which had elements of tastiness AND of fun), and continues on to the Tech Top 3. There’s a hurried rant by Carl on the so-called security behind the RFID tag in the soon-to-be-issued Passport, a look at AOL’s latest business decision to derive their revenues from ads (that is so 7 years ago), and then to the piece de resistance, Colin’s WWDC masturbatory delight. On the gaming table we share the love on larger gaming groups, and discuss our initial impressions of Dead Rising, a new offering for the XBOX 360. On Boston in Brief, we mention the upcoming Humanwine concert (with Brian Viglione) on August 10 (Cambridge, MA) and August 12 (New York, NY), as well as the Gnarls Barkley/Peeping Tom double-header at Avalon (Boston, MA) this Friday, August 11.

Dude, you went to a BBQ where the presence of beer was uncertain and you didn’t bring any? It is your own damn fault then.
And for the record, Moxie is the greatest soda in the history of the world, and don’t you forget it. Moxie is the reason my liver still functions. Its got roots from the Earth in it, and they all work on repairing my liver.
Are you guys playing WoW at all or did I miss that podcast?
I was listening to the part about the gaming table and talking about the large party and stuff. See now, the only real incident I remember between Carl and I was when one of my characters shot one of his in the hand playing GURPS
Minor incident really. Other than that, I’ve had fun playing with Carl. Who else is going to let me play a Lawful Evil Hexblade devoted to Cyric?
God I miss that character.
I am not playing WoW anymore. I haven’t found an MMORPG that I like enough to stick with (aside from City of Heroes, which I played for quite a while). I thought I would give DDO a shot, but haven’t had much time to really take a look at it. Currently, Dead Rising is monopolizing my gaming time (whatever little gaming time remains).
So Carl’s all about the Mac now! Tell me more obout this OS-Sex (as you call it).
