This is a short post. A little information, a little reminder, and a little rant.
STOP criticizing Boot Camp. People have started complaing that in some cases, installing Boot Camp and Windows XP works, but then people can no longer boot into OSX.
It’s a public beta. Apparently people selectively ignore or otherwise choose to forget that part. Do you know what a public beta is? It’s when a developer takes code that is nearly complete and releases it to real-world experimentation to expose problems just like this.
In other words, the fact that Boot Camp is buggy shouldn’t be a surprise. This is, in fact, exactly what it should be doing. Then the Apple people take the bugs, figure them out, and create either a second beta or the ‘gold’ vesion of the software. Only when using a gold version of software should people be allowed to complain.
So stop it. Stop bitching and moaning if Boot Camp does weird things. Instead, notify Apple and help them create a better product.

Actually, that was directed at Carl’s initial “quit bitching about boot camp” rant, which seemed to have no real purpose, but I’ll happily apply it to your Tron fetish as well.
