I used to watch Care Bears all the time...they were fairly gender neutral. Jem, Strawberry Shortcake, and My Little Pony, but I was a sucker for TV, and if it was my sister's turn to watch what she wanted, I didn't have much of a choice.

Jem kicked ass, though.

I had the He-Man toys too. And a ton of Transformers. I used to stage big fights between the Autobots and the Decepticons, and the Deceptions always won.

Also, Carl is just messed up. NO ONE ELSE THINKS THESE THINGS! GROSS!

Also, COLIN WATCHED MY LITTLE PONY OMG WTF LOL :)

Carl, knowing how Folding@home works should be a good indicator of just how hard the particular problem is -- all those computers in the Folding@home network are spending millions of computer hours just trying to fold proteins. Forget about simulating an entire organism solely from its genotype data.

I'm not a computation biologist, but what _The Economist_ article describes strikes me as being well outside the limits of current bioinformatics practice.

So no computer-simluated dragon genomes for you.

_The Economist_ is a newspaper. No, really. I know that the format is something you would call a magazine, but calling _The Economist_ a magazine is like calling a super-market tabloid a newspaper -- just because it's printed on news sheet...

Did they change the drinking age from 21 to 18 when I wasn't looking? And you better send me some beer, or at least tell me which beer it is and I'll go find it.

There are programs out there for simulating genetic evolution, but I'm not sure if there is one that will show changes in morphology based on genetic changes. However, a program like that is definately beyond the realm of possibility.

Man, thanks for mentioning me guys. :) Let's just say that theres a wee bit of contraversy surrounding the prank at the moment. Ha! Overall the response was positive...except for RPG.net, which banned my ass. Nice.
