So, Wil, when you coming to Beantown?

Eventful is a service that is currently in beta that helps people come together and decide what types of events they would like to see in their area. The basic idea is that someone creates an event that they care about, others demand it, it reaches “critical mass”, the performer is notified, and the event becomes a reality. It is a neat idea, and will be interesting to see if this becomes as popular as other social webistes like Digg or Flickr.

In this case, Wil is already an Eventful user and knows about all the demands. :-)

He’s indicated he needs 100 or more people signing up for any given city for him to seriously think about doing an event. Wherever there are Wil fans in Boston, be sure to let ‘em know. Spreading the word as far and wide in Boston is the key to making it work. It’d be awesome (or should I saw HAWESOME) to get Wil to go to Boston for an event.

Nice, I was curious as to whether he was already aware of the “demand.” Well, I guess we just need to plug away at this until we get past 100. :)

Is the Wheaton fandom just because of ST:TNG? Or because he blogs?

Not knocking the guy, just curious where the interest comes from.

He holds the secrets to immortality in his sweaters.
