Is your house dull and boring? Are you looking for something to spruce it up? Do you love mystery movies, and have way, way too much money?
Then why not install a secret door in your home? The folks at Creative Home Engineering (warning: flash with sound) would love to help you. Prices are high, though…starts at 10,000 of your Yanqui dollars installed, but a mere $1500 for DIY kits.
Some cool ideas in their poorly-rendered videos, though…not just bookshelf-doors and painting-safes. They’ve got pool tables coming out of the floor and chairs duming into slides going through the floor. Their video of actual installations included stairs that pivoted upwards, which was kind of cool.

I wish I had a secret door like you (well, except that it would lead to an actual, usable room).
Nice title, btw.
Yeah, having it be a usable room would be nice. Hell, I’d settle for it being big enough to use it for storage as well.
I would do it in a heartbeat.
That is so damn cool. I was after my wife, who’s an architect, to include a secret door when she designed our home. Only problem: She asked “Where should it lead to?”, and I had no answer.
To quote the immortal Wesley Snipes from Rising Sun: “the executive f*ck chamber”. Or, y’know, maybe something more mundane, like a wine cellar.
