I Tivoed a KFC commerical and went through it frame by frame until I found a frame that said go to kfc.com and type in buffalo to get a free buffalo chicken snacker. Not bad but not much of a deal if you dont live near a KFC.

For the record:

Southie == South Boston
Eastie == East Boston
Westie == White Roxbury == West Roxbury

And I can’t remember exactly what was said, but there’s a difference between Southie and the South End. Southie is South Boston, not the South End.

Or at least that’s what I’ve always been told by friends who live in one or the other.

Looking on their site, it seems they’ve had other people asking questions about their connection to Ubisoft, and have responded.

Also, yes, battery life on the umpcs is confirmed to suck, coming in anywhere from 2-4 hours, depending on the model and the like. But honestly, you can’t really expect much more, shy of them cramming a proportionally larger battery into it. It’s still powering an lcd, a hard drive, a ghz cpu, etc., just like your average laptop.

The BIOS compatibility mode will only exist if the developer of the mobo/firmware adds it in, which Apple/Intel haven’t.

I doubt they’ve got Itaniums, but AMD has been selling a shitload of 64-bit processors lately. Not huge “Bob Q Public” penetration, I’m sure, but it’s probably not insignificant.

Just clearing up some of the EFI confusion. I know you guys would have gotten some of this had your net access been working. Nobody sells stock intel/amd boards with EFI on them. Although I just did a quick google and the wikipedia claims that any mobo with an Intel 945 chipset on it can support it, none of them ship with it. Oh, and that Gateway shipped an HTPC with it on an Intel board. Overclockers has some more details.
