the charlie_Ticket_ is cardboard, the charlie_card_ is plastic. the ticket is supposed to replace regular tokens. the card is what replaces the monthly pass.

Ahh. Thanks for clearing that up. So, are either of them refillable? :?

Colin: Um, you can do the same thing on a mac. It just defaults to sleeping.

I actually like the idea of the "Anytime Upgrade". Although, how exactly the pricing will be handled (for say, someone who starts with the most basic version, upgrades to the professional, and then to the ultimate) is a mystery to me.

Okay, found the Ars article.

I do wonder why you were reading off a BBC breakdown, though, rather than the one Microsoft put out. Surprisingly, while Ars agreed with your list of 6 versions, MS only lists 5.

I don't know if you've seen the article (I think it was on Ars) talking about the live upgrades you'll be able to do on your Vista install. Basically, they really did trim it down to one version of the OS. The different flavors will all be on the same CD. It will just install/not install certain components depending on what kind of license key you give it.

On top of that, you'll be able to pay to upgrade your copy of Vista, get a new license key, and have Vista upgrade itself on the fly to that new flavor by installing the new functionality.

Well, Sean has also offered to teach you how to properly play Texas Hold 'Em. He said he won't take too much of your money. ;)

Umm...That is how Colin speaks in real life. :-) Plus if they left out all of those sounds, the podcast would only be a minute long.

Uh, i was...umm, listening, uh, to uh, your podcast, uh. Please stop using meaningless hesitation sounds. They're killing you. It renders an otherwise good effort unlistenable.

This isn't a flame, just some constructive criticism. Thanks for holding down Boston in the tech scene!
