Chatting with Google Maps

There is a neat chat application that uses Google Maps to show where the chat participants are from. When chatting, the chat bubbles appear on a map of the world over the point of origin. Not terribly useful, but it does provide a way to visualize how far your messages are travelling. Another feature I have yet to try is map sharing. This allows you to zoom-in to a specific location on the map and share it with another user in the same chat room. Panning, zooming, and switching from satellite imagery to regular map is all shared with the person with whom the map is being shared.
