SpikeTV has just released a list of the nominees for this year’s videogame awards. Yes, its a sham… but what award shows aren’t? At least this show doesn’t have a bunch of actors thanking “God for the incredible gifts they were given.” Instead we get to listen to Samuel L. “Mutha*****ng” Jackson and watch clips from our favorite videogames. As far as shams go, it aint so bad. The awards are going to take place on November 18th at the Gibson Amphitheater in L.A. and will be aired on SpikeTV on Saturday, December 10 at 9PM.
The following is a list of a few of the categories and their nominees:

Well since you admitted that up-front, you kinda sorta stole my thunder, but I figured I’d try anyway…
It’s a sham!
Do you also enjoy watching the Video Music Awards? Just asking…
Only if Jessica Alba is there wearing a skimpy dress.
i point you to my original comment…
I noticed Battlefield 2 on there.. anyone here play it yet? I have it coming this week and I am wondering if there are any opinions on it. And if you have, I guess you would have gotten in early since it only came out 10/25.
I’ve been watching the game awards sinse 2003. I was kinda hoping that the new Zelda game would be nominated, but it was delayed to next year. If you ask me, The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess should be nominated for game of the year in next years awards after it comes out. I hope it is, but I ain’t missin the video game awards any year. I can’t wait to see what game wins game of the year.
