Some actual sci fi shows that helped pave the way for the glossy visuals and dynamic plots of today:

    Automan
    Manimal
    Knight Rider
    Brisco County Jr.
    Millenium

Just to name a few. What a travesty, that ‘Batman (1966)’ should make it on there, and one of these didn’t.

Automan! That’s the name of that obscure series in the 80s which I couldn’t remember.

Mystery Science Theater 3000? ha. Futurama? Hmm..

Yeah, Automan. A cop creates a video game hero who can come out in the real world with his little pal, ‘Cursor’. Cursor could build the autocar, the autocycle, the autocopter. The car could take 90-degree turns, usually leaving the cop (played by Desi Arnez Jr.) plastered against the window.

Ok, just figured out what you meant by pissy. It must have been your vulgar language. ;)

I got a weird plugin-looking error after trying the first comment post, then a “whoa there cowboy” when I went back and tried again.
