Well, it appears as though the moniker for the upcoming Windows operating system that we have gotten used to for quite a while now has been dropped. We knew it was temporary, and we also knew that they weren’t going to be using Windows $currentYear anymore.

So, welcome Windows Vista. I am not sure how I feel about that name. I guess after hearing it several thousand times between now and its release (when?) I will have gotten used to it. As long as they don’t remove anymore interesting features from it, I suppose it doesn’t matter what they call it.
