Did you seriously have enough time to read the whole thing? John’s a friend from BU’s CS dept. forum (he graduated the year I started there, I think). He’s a good guy, but even I can’t wade through all of his articles. I usually get about halfway in, then skip to the conclusion page.
Me:
Start reading… “Nice, this guy is doing a nice write-up”
More reading… “Umm… yea… nice detailed write-up”
Skimming… “Seriously… So many words… So many words”
Skipping to last sentence… “Oh, he likes it.”
Come to the dark si… wait…
Ahem…
Come to the shiny, light side.
FYI, my copy left Penn. yesterday, and should be on my doorstep tomorrow.

He asked Ed to proof-read it, Ed was IMing me like “goddamn mac’s a wordy bastard”.
Heh, I read most of it, but you’re right. Wordy bastard.
I read the whole thing. Mac is very … in depth. He also cares very, very deeply about file system metadata. (^_-)
